Our client seeks an experienced Manufacturing financial professional to dive into the details and be the key financial point of contact. This profitable manufacturing company needs expertise from a small business controller or likewise who is self-motivated, has a strong work ethic, highly organized and is intellectually curious. Main responsibilities include oversight on accounting and financial statements. In addition this role will be the driver in key initiatives along with standard costing, inventory, budgeting and process improvement. You would be exceptionally qualified for this unique opportunity if you have 5+ years of leadership experience in Manufacturing or Distribution, have proven systems implementation experience, and have made a difference with cost savings initiatives. If you have a positive attitude, like to change things up, can create tools rather than just use them, and consider yourself to be a visionary with intellectual curiosity, this growing company will want to talk with you. 4 year degree in Accounting required.   • Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • CPA/MBA preferred

  • Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"

  • Demonstrated knowledge of year end closings

  • Physical inventory experience highly valued

  • Earlier work involving SAP Financials

  • Adeptness in Macola

  • Experience with standard costs

  • Good understanding of inventory analysis

  • Previous experience working with Sage MAS 90

  • Practical knowledge of system conversion and implementation

  • Solid understanding of financial statement preparation

  • General familiarity with month end closings

  • Command of financial analysis

  • Financial planning experience highly preferred

  • Background working with journal entries

  • Deep understanding of general ledger

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

  • Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required

  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized
