Corporate Controller/Senior Director

Overview

We are seeking an experienced senior level controller to join our rapidly growing team in Charleston, SC. The right candidate will effectively manage both internal and external resources and be responsible for production, review, and presentation of financial performance of multiple business lines (manufacturing, product sales, installation and service, real estate investment, and 3rd party logistics.) The successful candidate will also oversee corporate consolidation and participate in business planning and forecasting. This position is a key business partner to the President and CFO and provides daily business support to the leader of operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Participate in the development of and support the company's strategic plans
  • Monitor the financial performance of the company
  • Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
  • Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets
  • Investor reporting/financial venture reporting
  • Lead/guide relationships and reporting with third party accounting vendors
  • Help create and integrate BOMs into ERP system and manufacturing operation
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures
  • Communicate financial metrics to senior management
  • Financial planning and analysis, forecasting and data analysis for company expansion
  • Work with ownership on tax strategies, investments and cash flow

Job Qualifications

  • Seven to fifteen years of accounting or financial management experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and how they relate to job costing
  • Detailed knowledge of inventory control systems, cycle counts, costing
  • Strong numerical proficiency, organization, good problem-solving skills and excellent use of logic
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to work closely with a senior management team
