We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Controller to join our partners team. The Plant Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities at our manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis. This position reports to the Senior Director of Finance, and is responsible for a team of three ensuring accurate and timely monthly close and forecast.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures application and compliance with organizations accounting policies and procedures, US GAAP, and compliance rules and laws.
- Partner with operational and commercial leaders to support them in driving sustainable business growth, share insights, and optimize profitability.
- Maintain cost accounting system with focus on data integrity and consistency.
- Review labor and material variances in a forward-looking manner.
- Develop cost rates and analyze inventory and movements.
- Lead annual physical inventory.
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs, understand and articulate drivers for variances, and partner with operational leaders to improve efficiency and forecast accuracy.
- Manage, coach, and develop a finance team consisting of one cost accountant and one staff accountant.
- Produce labor efficiency reporting.
- Lead annual budget and monthly forecast processes.

- Strong manufacturing / cost accounting skills.
- Experience with SOX compliance testing and auditing.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and financial system knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication.

Education and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- 8+ years of experience for a manufacturing with cost accounting exposure.
- Must have a strong Cost systems background, excellent analytical skills
- Advanced user of Excel utilizing Pivot Tables, Sumif, If, vlookup, and other functions.
- Strong ERP experience, preferably Oracle.
- Team player with strong organization skills required.
- Self-motivated and a strong desire to achieve results.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
