  • Job Duties:

  • Manages financial consolidation and financial reporting process for manufacturing plant.

  • Leads accounting in all accounting functions of the plant.

  • Oversee and manage the development of financial business processes to meet internal reporting, control and analysis.

  • Liaise with key business leaders to deliver predictive indicators for financial performance.

  • Recommend financial actions by assessing options in relation to organizational strategy

  • Responsible for timely, accurate and meaningful financial reporting

  • Responsible for review and maintenance of standard cost including leading yearly analysis and update of all standard costs within the ERP system.

  • Responsible for professional development of the accounting team by providing mentorship and guidance

  • Manages the month end US GAAP financial close.

  • Performs monthly reviews of plant financials, understanding balance sheet and income statement fluctuations for the various business areas.

  • Responsible for monitoring capital expenditures and supports operations team on capital projects

  • Provides leadership on financial initiatives, policies, and practices for the manufacturing plant.

  • Leads accounts receivable initiatives through reporting and analysis, providing support for collection activities and coordinating with the credit department in the assessment of collection risk

  • Maintains control of all financial aspects of inventory (valuation, verification, obsolescence) and works with operations to manage and control inventory.

  • Responsible for monitoring, developing and designing a strong internal control environment for SOX compliance requirements. Maintains a current understanding of the NOV Accounting Controls Manual (SOX) and ensures that the businesses are in compliance with these rules.

  • Participates in internal and external audits.

  • Supports corporate tax group in adherence to statutory reporting requirements and tax compliance including sales tax and transfer pricing.

  • Supports other corporate functions (Treasury, Legal, Real Estate, etc.) with business information and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.


Required Education/ Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business or accounting or equivalent from four-year college or technical school, at least one year of cost accounting experience, and three years in a supervisory role.

Preferred Experience:

Master's degree in Accounting preferred with CPA or CPA eligible.
