This position is responsible for accurate and timely financial data relevant to the effective operation and continual improvement of the business. The position provides accurate and timely cost data for customer pricing decisions and the development of goals as well as reporting on goal progress to the management team.
The Controller participates in, and provides data for, continuous improvement team projects. The Controller performs all accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting, accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable, asset valuation, depreciation, bank reconciliation, tax filings, general ledger reconciliation, payroll, month-end closing journal entries and financial statements according to generally accepted accounting principles. The position also assists in the oversight, development and implementation of the division's computer systems.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least five (5) years general accounting experience. Three (3) years of experience in an accounting leadership position, a strong cost accounting background and familiarity with standard cost accounting are highly preferred. Excellent organizational, communication and computer skills (MS Office and ERP) are essential.
