Financial Reporting and Analysis
Accurate and timely preparation of financial statements consistent with GAAP and insurance agency accounting standards.
Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Efficiently and accurately account for commissions earned from carriers as well as commissions due to account executives, brokers and other parties per M3 agreements.
Manage and coordinate an efficient internal and external audit process.
Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for all accounting and financial reporting activities.
Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies, including tax policies, directives, and current accounting standards. Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
Leadership, Development and Management
Provide leadership, employee development support and supervision to Finance Department team. Includes continuous modeling and communication of M3 Vision, Mission, Strategies, Values and Goals.
Coordinate & monitor workflow and work load of staff to provide the highest level of customer service as well as efficient operations.
Interview, hire, train, evaluate, discipline and terminate employees.
Analyze and manage expenditures of the department to conform to budget.
Participate in appropriate agency committees and meetings.
