The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our company by managing our financial procedures. Your primary duties will include cost control, budgeting, risk management, providing leadership, and setting business strategy. You will not only be an accomplished accountant and proactive with company finances but will also be commercially aware and provide advice on the best path of growth for our business.
Responsibilities: 1. Oversee all company accounts and investments. 2. Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts. 3.
Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports. 4. Supervise and manage the financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants. 5. Motivate and lead the finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback. 6.
Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing. 7. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported. 8. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation. 9.
Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations. 10. Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports. 11. Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities. 12.
Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies. 13. Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations. 14. Report to the Managing Director with timely and accurate financial information. 15.
Assist the Managing Director in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred). 2.
Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA). 3. 5 years of proven experience in executive financial management role. 4. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics SL financial reporting software. 5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 6.
Excellent understanding of data analysis and forecasting. 7. Proven ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used. 8. Strong aptitude for math, along with a high degree of accuracy with numbers and attention to detail. 9.
Experience in the construction industry would be advantageous. 10. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and management skills. 11. Strong strategic planning skills coupled with an ability to interact with all levels of the organization. 12.
Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills. 13. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills. 14. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity. 15.
