HR Services Group has been contracted to search for a Controller for a client in the Aerospace/E-commerce Industry.

You will be responsible for the financial operations of the business. This covers the maintenance of a sufficient system of accounting records and generation of periodic financial reports. You will also be responsible for a complete set of budgets and controls intended to enhance the precision of reported financial outcomes, mitigate risks, and ensure that reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You will engage in all aspects of financial administration, such as budget and forecasts preparation, corporate accounting, development of internal control policies and procedures, and regulatory and financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day financial activities
  • Develop, improve, and issue monthly financial records for top management
  • Compile and analyze financial information for quarterly reports
  • Analyze financial statements and compile reports to assist management in making financial decisions
  • Ensure financial plans align with organizational goals
  • Provide financial analysis to evaluate company ventures or special projects
  • Active participation in influencing business growth, direction, product development, strategic planning, financial forecasting, and potential acquisition integration as a member of the senior management team
  • Interface with banks, outside audit firms, liability and casualty insurance agents, insurance brokers, collection agencies, and credit card companies
  • Oversee tax filings to ensure compliance with local, state and federal government requirements
  • Ensure the company accurately follows accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures
  • Develop and implement internal control processes for accounting systems
  • Process weekly and biweekly payroll
  • Administer 401k Program
  • Work closely with management to develop an economic evaluation of various fringe benefit programs
  • Provide a leadership and visionary implementation role on behalf of Human Resources and Finance to all staff and departments
  • Supervise accounting staff
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Production and Plant management
  • Supply Chain, logistical planning and analysis
  • General understanding of lean methodologies and process mapping
  • China Supply Chain/communication experience a plus


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance or accounting
  • Masters degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience and training
  • Strong Cost Accounting experience
  • CPA license is preferred
  • Software Experience: ADP, QuickBooks, Accounting Software, MS Office Applications Excel & Access. Basic SQL. Power BI, Mode or experience with other performance matrix tools
  • Effective presentation skills

Required Skills Job Specifications Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in Accounting. Minimum of 10 years experience combined with 5 to 7 years industry experience. CPA/Public Accounting preferred. Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of accounting and finance practices along with job costing, budgeting, and strategic planning. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Excel program. Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task. Confident working closely with upper management and corporate executives. Work Conditions: Weekend work and travel required.
