As we continue to grow and achieve new highs, corporate accounting will be a critical function in scaling Hex successfully.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the company's control processes and accounting policies, maintaining the general ledger, leading the monthly close process, preparing monthly financial statements, managing tax, treasury & compliance. You will be responsible for building and scaling the function from the ground up.

What you'll do

  • Direct all aspects of accounting operations, including execution of operational accounting policy, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue recognition, and other accounting activities.

  • Monitor, evaluate impact, and implement new accounting standards and regulatory requirements based on the evolution of the business.

  • Own relationships with accounting consultants, external auditors and tax advisors; manage annual audits and handle all tax-related work streams.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of internal controls and compliance.

  • Ensure robust cash management practices, including cash forecasting and working capital optimization.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze the company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs.

  • Manage all accounting systems and processes, adding capabilities to improve our productivity, accuracy and controls.

  • Partner on ad-hoc activities, including M&A due diligence and integration efforts, fundraising and systems implementations.

  • Develop and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Accountancy, Finance, or related degree.

  • Strong technical accounting skills; CPA license highly preferred.

  • 10+ years of related professional experience.

  • Demonstrated history of scaling systems and processes for finance and accounting operations.

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in assessing, developing, and implementing controls and systems.

  • Proven ability to hire, manage, and mentor high-performing teams

  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software; proficiency in NetSuite or similar platforms is a plus.

  • Knowledge of SaaS metrics and financial modeling specific to subscription-based businesses.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to effectively collaborate and drive initiatives cross-functionally.

Location

  • Hybrid with at least T/TH in SF office, and likely one other day most weeks (Wed)
