Controller

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Plant Controller will lead the accounting team with the monthly financial close, preparing and reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, and preparing monthly consolidated financial statements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the financial close and reporting process, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for assigned GL accounts /areas.

• Perform account reconciliation reviews, ensuring Company accounting processes are accurate and in accordance with US-GAAP.

• Monitor the status of key close deadlines and provide updates to CFO and leadership team of any issues, delays.

• Prepare monthly US-GAAP financial statements packages, including KPI metrics and trend analysis.

• Assist the finance team with improved ERP system selection & implementation.

• Reviews and ensures compliance with revenue recognition policies (PoC and Shipment)

• Corporate governance of global chart of accounts, cost centers, and month-end close procedures

• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Auditing Standards

• Highly organized and structured- able to prioritize and manage tight deadlines.

• High attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to conceptualize "the big picture".

• Proficiency with US-GAAP and US Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

• Excels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a minimum of direction.

• Strong communication and organizational skills, plus a willingness to work in a collaborative team environment required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field required; Master's degree preferred.

• CPA certification is desirable but not required

• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in the accounting & finance field.

• Experience utilizing Percentage of Completion Accounting (Defense, Construction, Oil & Gas)

• ERP systems evaluation and implementation

• Accounting in a high-tech manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to move about a large manufacturing facility.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Most of the work is performed in a typical office environment with no major sources of discomfort. Essentially a normal controlled working environment with noise levels within acceptable safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.

TRAVEL

? Periodic domestic travel is required.

Must be able to obtain security clearance, which requires US Citizenship
