JOB PURPOSE - As Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial activities and ensuring the integrity of financial

data within our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass managing financial reporting, budgeting,

auditing, and compliance. You will collaborate closely with various departments to provide financial insights, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. This position reports directly to the VP of Finance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash

flow statements.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Present financial reports to management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

  • Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and senior management.

  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.

  • Forecast financial results based on current trends and future projections.

  • Assist in developing strategic plans by providing financial insights and recommendations.

  • Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of

financial records.

  • Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

  • Implement improvements to internal controls and processes as needed to enhance efficiency and

effectiveness.

  • Lead finance business transformation by supporting ERP implementation team

  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, such as investment proposals, pricing

strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.

  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial implications of strategic initiatives and

operational changes.

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to foster their

professional growth.

  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team.

  • All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, GP and Bi360 reporting tool preferred

  • Advanced user capability with ExcelJOB DESCRIPTION - CONTROLLER

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Bi360 reporting tool preferred

  • Good understanding of databases and experience development queries against different databases

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Effective communication skills (written, oral)

  • Ability to prioritize duties and exhibit initiative

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • Five years of accounting experience in a management or supervisory role

  • Construction industry experience

  • CPA Certification required

  • Public accounting audit experience preferred
