Eaton is seeking a Plant Controller for its Electrical Systems and Services Commercial Distribution Products and Assemblies Group. The Plant Controller position will be located in Greenwood, SC.

The primary function of this position is to provide overall leadership for Finance and Accounting functions within the Greenwood Maxwell facility. Key responsibilities of the role include driving the Strategic Financial Planning at the operational level, working through others to coordinate and review the accounting department's daily routine of processing and reporting financial data, review of the plant financials and communicating them to the management team.

Essential Functions:

  • You will serves as a member of the Greenwood Maxwell Leadership Team, fulfilling management duties and providing input for strategy, direction & continuous improvement

  • You will be responsible for the accuracy and execution of the financial forecast to meet or exceed shareholders' expectations by engaging all other functions in the facility while developing and deploying strong financial processes.

  • You will Evaluate and approve plant capital appropriation request prior to division and corporate management approval. Monitor and report purchase commitments and spending for all capital programs. Conduct follow-up audits to ensure compliance for all significant capital investments.

  • You will ensure safeguarding and accurate reporting of plant fixed assets.

  • You will Manage, analyze, evaluate and interpret plant financial forecast and operating results. Inform management of results and recommend corrective actions to address unfavorable trends and variances

  • You will consistently apply generally accepted accounting principles and company policy to financial activity at the plant; including ensuring accurate and timely completion of Profit Plan (budgets); Financial Forecasts; Month-end close; Year-end close; SOX and Eaton Financial Compliance activities; etc. You will point out suspected areas of deviations and non-compliance to management for correction.

  • You will manage the deployment of cost saving and other programs to provide operating economies and improve profitability. You will monitor and provide opportunities to support continuous improvement to plant productivity.

  • You will participate regularly in shop floor visual metric management like inventory control (raw, WIP and finished goods) to provide opportunities for improvement, Value stream optimization.

  • You will participate in the facilitation of the following initiatives for the facility in general and for the Finance team specifically: Eaton Values and Philosophy, Leadership Attributes, Ethics, Diversity & Inclusion, APEX, OCA, EPWP, and E-STAR.

  • You will contribute to the following environmental, health, and safety initiatives: MESH, ISO14001, NC Star Program, and other safety / environmental programs established for the facility for a safe work environment. Ensures that all members of the Finance team are trained in the applicable environmental, health and safety practices.

  • You will participate in the following quality initiatives / programs: Eaton Quality System (EQS), IATF16949, and etc.

  • Support other Operations initiatives including EBE, MESH, ELSS, Staffing, Supply Chain and other CI efforts.

  • You will collaborate in the development and execution of facility profit plan goals, the High 5 metrics and other balanced scorecards while also participating in the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) and Eaton Business System (EBS).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business from an accredited institution is required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial role in a manufacturing or industrial setting is required.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business or related field preferred

  • CPA, CMA

  • Experience with Oracle/MAPICS ERP

  • Knowledge of Eaton's corporate policies and procedures is highly desired

Job Description A Commercial Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a front-, side-, or rear-loading truck, and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers who reside on a designated route. In addition, a truck driver is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with the Company's safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensures that all Company, state and federal regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle, and completes vehicle condition reports ("VCRs") on a daily basis to ensure that any vehicle defects are repaired in a timely manner. Principal Responsibilities * Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports. * Safely operate his or her heavy truck along his or her designated route and to the disposal site; read route sheet, follow map and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor. * Operate manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility. * Courteously interact with all customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely manner. * Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers in accordance with applicable departmental procedures. * Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste. * Clean area around an accidental waste spill, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies. * Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip. * Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports, as required. * Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner. * Follow all required safety policies and procedures. * Actively participate in the Company's ReSOP program. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
