The Controller will preform a variety of financial activities as required. Position requires an advanced understanding of accounting principles. Duties would include creating annual business plan for approval by the Board of Directors and provide the Chief Operating officer with financial information and reporting as requested. Assigned duties may include the following:As Controller you will supervise all aspects of the Accounting Department including but not limited to properly maintaining all financial statements for monthly and annual review in compliance with GAAP.
You will preform all functions of the ADP payroll system from input of payroll, balancing of payroll, sending out any payroll checks to the employees, answering employee questions regarding paychecks, PTO, garnishments, and other payroll related questions in a timely manner. The Controller will handle troubleshooting issues with the ADP provider.
The Controller is also responsible for processing garnishments, child support orders, etc. As, well as keeping up to date with the latest payroll rules and regulations.
Other duties that the Comptroller will administer are as follows: Responsible for completing employment and income verifications.
Keeps records of insurance coverage, pension plan and personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers and terminations.
Responsible for monitoring the cost of payroll, insurance, and workers compensation for all entities.
Responsible for administering benefits and Cobra to employees.
Responsible for administering 401K and insurance benefits to employees when they are eligible.
Responsible for working with employees when they have a benefit issues.
Pursue continuing education to maintain a current knowledge of accounting principles.
Any and all other responsibilities that may be required from time to time.
