Controller

Our client is seeking a talented and driven Controller to join their team in Gallatin, TN, and play a key role in driving the company's financial operations. Position Overview:

As the Controller, you will lead and develop a dedicated accounting team. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, as well as guiding the successful implementation of their new ERP system. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting leader who thrives in a family-oriented, team-driven culture and is excited about the opportunity to shape the future of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting team to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, general ledger, and month-end close processes.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support business decision-making.
• Assist in the implementation and optimization of a new ERP system to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and financial regulations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to drive financial performance and operational improvements.
• Provide leadership in financial audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
