The Grain Elevator Control Operator's primary responsibility is to control the mechanical equipment of the grain elevator to insure the product reaches the right destination without any contamination. In addition, the person in this position will pitch in as needed to help the rest of the team safely and efficiently unload various types of products to and from trucks and rail cars, or to and or from sheds, elevators or buildings within the facility, and complete housekeeping duties. Over time, the person in this position should develop the knowledge needed to act as backup to the Elevator Manager.

The core hours for this position are 6am-2pm Monday-Friday and will require overtime and weekend work as necessary.


  • Control all mechanical equipment functions to insure product reaches correct destination without contamination

  • Create inbound and outbound tickets using computer software system

  • Communicate with truck drivers and assist with filling out paperwork

  • Handle end of day activity reports to customers and accounting group

  • Insure all inventory transactions have been entered correctly; cross check data to confirm accuracy

  • Direct elevator operator team regarding rail movement and grain bin plan

  • Ability to perform work safely and productively

  • Assist the elevator team with the unloading and loading process and perform housekeeping activities (sweeping, shoveling, cleaning)

  • Assist with other general duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscaping)

  • Adhere to company safety policies and watch out for the safety of others


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • At least three years of experience working in a grain elevator is strongly preferred

  • Excellent data entry skills (position requires near flawless accuracy)

  • Fluent in English at a level to be able to communicate with customers and colleagues as well as able to read and understand procedures and policies

  • Strong communication skills and an interest in developing leadership abilities

  • Willingness to be cross trained on all operations at the facility

  • Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required; experience with Agris/oneWeigh strongly preferred

  • Willing to work flexible hours and weekends as necessary

  • Reliable transportation to and from the facility

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to repetitively climb up and down railcars/ladders safely, walk up and down steps, and work at heights, sweep, and shovel grain

  • Willingness and ability to work outside, including in inclement weather

  • Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds

  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time

The selected candidate will be part of a team that directly participates in the credit support of the Regional Commercial Banking Offices (RCBO's) The Credit Analyst will be focused on managing a credit portfolio of middle market account relationships within Credit Services. General responsibilities include working with senior management, relationship managers and portfolio managers to originate, monitor and grow middle market relationships. Specifically accountable for credit underwriting and origination, routine and regular portfolio monitoring, renewals and annual reviews, and coordination of pricing. Manages and promotes the maintenance of a portfolio that adheres to all applicable credit policies and compliance requirements. Works directly with RCBO team members to understand credit needs and represents the bank in developing and maintaining client relationships. May or may not have revenue generation goals. Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.
