The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

This role serves as the key partner to one of the following Deposit and Credit Bureau Management Office (DCBMO) which is one of the CLSS business units: This role also has primary responsibility for providing an aggregate view of program results and for monitoring risk across DCBMO, as well as driving related corrective actions to address issues, when needed.

  • Lead risk/control program oversight for key policies and risk programs such as Issues Management, Risk and Control Self-Assessment Program and Redress/Remediation. Leads and influences partnerships with the business process owner by consulting and providing expertise and strategic direction in the control design to effectively mitigate risks, including design of effective means of measurement.

  • Contributes to the development and enhancement of the business control environment through execution of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program.

  • Engages in the development and implementation of new controls, action plans, and root cause analysis.

  • Supports the Business with implementation of Control programs by providing consultative guidance.

  • Supports a strong risk management culture through the implementation of key risk management programs into the standard operating framework of the business.

  • Partner and continue to build relationships with the DCBMO, Business Excellence and 2nd and 3rd lines of defense to foster clear and proactive communication

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in risk management or 7+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in risk management

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) or FACTA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act)

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines

  • Process design or improvement experience

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Fair and Credit Reporting Act knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge and experience of key policies and risk programs such as Issues Management, Risk and Control Self-Assessment Program and Redress/Remediation.

The Deposit and Credit Bureau Management Office (DCBMO) is currently seeking a Business Support Consultant to join the Strategy & Integration team to coordinate initiatives requiring technology support. In this role, the successful candidate will be able to navigate technology intake processes/tollgates while working with business leads and product owners to drive prioritization and deliverables to meet specified implementation time frames, including associated issue management expectations. Additionally this role will be responsible for assessing changes initiated by other business groups and technology teams to determine impact to DCBMO systems and processes. This is an Individual Contributor role that requires knowledge of consumer lending technology systems of record (SORs), credit bureau functions and/or associated laws (FCRA, FACTA) as well as experience with agile technology delivery methodologies. This role will focus on/be responsible for, but not limited to: * Partnering with Issue Management leads to identify technology impacts associated with owned corrective actions including identification of impacted SORs * Working closely with Corrective Action Owner and/or project sponsor and designated subject matter experts to determine high level scope of technology needs to support initial completion dates within the Issue Management process * Manage requests with relevant stakeholders (technology, product owner, business excellence/change management) to ensure required artifacts are created and tollgates are met to ensure initiatives meet delivery dates * Work with subject matter experts as needed to attend any required agile ceremonies including refinement sessions in support of the work efforts * Coordinate with Group Portfolio Delivery processes to establish tracking/funding and secure any required project management support * Maintain status reporting leveraging appropriate enterprise tools including Jira, Confluence and SHRP * Attend intake reviews, refinement sessions or other similar processes for external technology teams supporting DCBMO related initiatives * Provide input and support for ongoing 6-quarter technology roadmaps and associated technology investment needs * Act as the representative for the cross functional impact team (CFIT) function on behalf of the DCBMO. Review newly submitted change controls and identify if there is impact to the department through partnering with key members of the operational groups within the DCBMO. * Utilizes knowledge of the business unit's functions and business needs to identify impacts to systems or processes resulting from external change or projects.
