Primary Focus:

Responsible for the monitoring and controlling the movement of product through facility pipelines, analyzing changing conditions and alarms and making necessary adjustments, monitoring system integrity to maximize safety, efficiency, quality, and customer service.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Cushing facility.

  • Control the movement of material through pipelines within the facility via SCADA using automated/manual valves and pumps.

  • Monitor pressure, temperature and volume using SCADA system to ensure safe receipt and delivery of volumes.

  • Analyze and take appropriate action to all SCADA alarms as per Cushing CCO procedures.

  • Maintain continuous vigilance of leak detection tools to identify and mitigate potential leak situations.

  • Investigate volume imbalances (CMT, SCADA ect.) and take appropriate actions for resolution as per Cushing CCO procedures.

  • Monitor terminal system performance and notify operations when maintenance and/or repairs are needed.

  • Ability to move from task to task fluently, stay organized and prioritize tasks/daily work.

  • Provides advanced notification to Shipper Services when deviations from scheduled movements are expected or have occurred.

  • Ensure strong communications between all work groups during daily operations and at shift change.

  • Ensure all spreadsheets and record keeping are completed and kept up to date.

  • Adhere to all CRM regulations set forth by PHMSA.

  • Complete and maintain all required qualifications and training set forth by PHMSA and Enbridge.

  • Participate on Control Center enhancement teams as needed.

  • Adhere to Cushing CCO procedures and processes.

  • Attend mandatory meetings as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Possession of a high school diploma and a 2-year Engineering Technology Diploma or 3-5 years related pipeline experience. Equivalencies will be considered.

  • Excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service and a willingness to work in a team environment are essential.

  • Good problem-solving skills, including the ability to utilize multiple resources to arrive at a solution.

  • The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check in accordance with Enbridge and regulatory requirements.

VIEW JOBS 12/29/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-29T00:00 The Operator position is responsible for performing the following responsibilities: * Gauges and samples crude oil products transferred to and from tanks, trucks, pipelines. * Performs valve lineups, switch and tank changes as required to move crude oil products in and out of storage tanks. * Works diligently and follows all safety requirements to prevent product contamination, spills and avoid product loss. * Inputs product information into terminal automation programs, including Falcon, ODS, Cobalt, QMS, TAS and other systems applications as required. * Performs tank inspections, perform sample testing onsite, make analyses of tank contents and prepare records as required (including 2-hr product over/short calculations), make routine daily inspection of facilities. * Assists drivers, customers, and performs other operations duties as assigned. * Maintains location appearance, repair and replace equipment, maintain facility in exemplary compliance. * May perform other general maintenance responsibilities as directed. * Works a 12-hr shift that includes rotating between day and night per the work schedule. * Works in a safe manner, which follows company policies and programs. Responsible for other projects and assignments as directed. Job Requirements * One to three years experience is preferred. * College degree is preferred. * A valid state drivers license to drive a Company vehicle. * Basic mathematical ability and understanding is required to successfully perform tank measurements, read gauges, set up product transfers into and out of tanks. This includes the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, etc. * Candidate must be able to perform some work at heights between 40-50 feet. * Requires knowledge of crude oil characteristics, measurement and safe handling practices. * Must show demonstrated competency in all aspects of operations within 180 days of hire. Position will be filled at a level commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications. Additional requirements: Regular attendance; the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English with co- workers, supervisors, internal and external customers; the ability to work in stressful conditions; the ability to multi-task, adapt, and respond in changing circumstances; the ability to work independently (self-directed) and collaborate with other team members; the ability to use a personal computer with the Windows(R) operating system to complete time sheets, send and receive email, and access information posted on the Company's intranet; and the ability to work at the assigned job site and to attend offsite training on a periodic basis. Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, periodic overtime, and on a call-out basis when needed.
