Sr. Controls Automation Engineer holds a key position in Plant Engineering Department and ensures that all the maintenance and project activities are carried out in strict accordance with established technical standards with proper consideration to safety, quality and reliability.

Plant engineering department role is to create, upgrade, approve and maintain all the technical documentation, specifications and drawings in the network and as hard copies, asset reliability improvement by creating standard maintenance practices, creating critical spare list for important assets, standardization of spares, lead new and upgradation projects, co-ordinate with maintenance and act as technical resource for major turnaround projects and maintenance shutdowns. Plant engineer also directs/carryout routine specialized technical function e.g. AMS 2750 furnace surveys, monthly plant performance analysis, captures furnace gas reading, analysis on plant power usage and water usage and compiles reports required by other departments like Finance, EHS, Operation and external regulatory authorities. Plant engineer works in close coordination with plant associates, corporate entities, EHS department, Contractors and OEM's to ensure the effort of plant engineering is aligned with the overall need for the plant.

The Sr. Controls Automation Engineer makes a direct contribution to achieve plant goals of increasing productivity, ensure safety of equipment and manpower, reduce maintenance cost, increased equipment availability and improved asset reliability. This is accomplished by proper project planning, ensuring integrity of documentation, maintaining standards and technical discipline in maintenance activity, leading troubleshooting efforts for major maintenance issues and provide a roadmap for maintenance, design and review of improvement projects, coordinating with other departments and controlling the factor influencing the performance of assets.

Qualified candidates must have Associate/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience in Plant engineering department, Greenfield /Brownfield Project management in a forging/Metal forming industry setup, have good technical and problem-solving skill and preferably to have hands on practical experience being able to demonstrate a level of success in heavy manufacturing environment.
