The Control Account Manager has the authority and accountability for specific Control Accounts within their Integrated Product Team (IPT). The Control Account Manager is responsible for the development, definition, and management of the scope, schedule, and budget for the work contained in their Control Accounts. The Control Account Manager will also be responsible for the oversight and mentoring of the Control Account and Work Package Managers programmatically reporting to them.
Additionally they will serve as project managers responsible for developing solutions to program challenges as they relate to their Control Accounts and coordinate the work of cross functional teams assigned to support. The Control Account Manager is part of the Program Management Team and will report directly to the Assistant Program Manager (APM) for their respective IPT.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Act as the primary Earned Value point of contact for the Production Air Vehicle IPT and provide direction and oversight to any Work Package Managers. They will support the Program Management Team with a primary focus on production of the 53K.
Attendance at daily production status meetings will be required. Candidate must be willing to call in to morning production meeting, on occasion as necessary, during weekends and holidays to ensure sale of aircraft per the financial plan is achieved.
Manage Control Account scope, schedule, and budget. This includes analysis of program data and metrics to determine Control Account performance. Develop Control Account variance reports per Sikorsky Planning and Control System Description and program standard work for full criteria earned value system compliance.
Using the CH-53K Risk and Opportunities process, work with the APM, Deputy APM, Technical Lead, Control Account Managers, and Financial Analyst to develop plans to mitigate cost growth and develop realistic Estimates at Complete (EAC).
Work with the APM, Deputy APM, Technical Lead, Control Account Managers, and PP&C analyst to mitigate schedule variance, including the development of accurate schedule projections and Estimates to Complete (ETC).
Work closely with the Program Integration team and their Finance and PP&C analysts, to prepare for and present in daily CAM, Program/IPT level, and monthly DCMA surveillance reviews. This includes the running of weekly task execution meetings within the IPT.
Report status on key projects on a regular basis to Leadership / Program Executives. Develop and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences including Sikorsky and NAVAIR. Resolve internal management issues and escalate if needed.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Previous experience with the U.S. Military, control account management, acquisition processes, supervising / leading teams, new business development, project and financial planning, and military contract management are highly desirable.
