Contracts/Grants Coordinator (Health Equity Coordinator)

Initiates, coordinates and administers the Division's Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI) contracts and grant projects. Monitors federal and state contracts and grants for achieving MAI goals and performance measure objectives to improve outcomes for racial/ethnic minority populations disproportionately burdened by Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Prepares statistical and outcome-based reports and board agenda items.

Tracks grant expenditures; audits project activities; reviews proposals and contract modifications; performs contract and funded-agency audits and contract amendments. Creates and negotiates contracts including scope of work, units of service and program outcomes with funded partners. Coordinates dissemination of information with County agencies as well as state, nonprofit agencies and faith-based organizations.

Acts as liaison with all partners in the Palm Beach County HIV System of Care; attends HIV CARE Council and sub-committee meetings. Provides technical assistance to Ryan White staff and other partner agencies as related to health equity; researches and writes new grant proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Public/Business Administration, Health/Social Services or closely related field; minimum of two (2) years of experience in a staff or administrative capacity initiating/managing/coordinating contracts, grants/leases. Equivalencies: Unrelated Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of related experience; related Associate's Degree and four (4) years of related experience; unrelated Associate's Degree and five (5) years of related experience; graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification and six (6) years of related experience.

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH: Federal/state health-related grants; contract administration/monitoring; advancing equity for racial/ethnic minority populations.

Also desirable: Knowledge of services available to people with HIV; related Master's Degree.
