Job Description:

The Contracts Specialist will work within NuVasive's Corporate Legal Team and be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts, including customer agreements, healthcare professional consulting agreements, and vendor agreements. The successful candidate will be a process-focused, self-starter with excellent judgment who is able to prioritize and manage multiple competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. You must also enjoy working collaboratively with other members of the Legal Team, internal business partners, and outside counsel, and be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate and modify contracts such as customer agreements, healthcare professional agreements, facility agreements, vendor agreements, and supply agreements

  • Coordinate input on contractual matters from internal stakeholders such as commercial, compliance, and regulatory affairs

  • Participate in contract negotiations with external customers, vendors and other third parties

  • Develop, implement, and enforce core contract management processes for request, execution and filing of agreements

  • Independently perform analysis of unique issues and propose solutions in a collaborative way with other members of the Legal Team

  • Manage legal matters related to the Company's U.S. subsidiaries, including director and officer appointments, formations, dissolutions, intercompany agreements, and annual filings

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts

  • Paralegal or relevant professional experience in a law firm or corporate legal department setting

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization

  • High proficiency in computer systems and programs such as Microsoft Office

  • Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage numerous projects and conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to complete a high volume of work in a timely and thorough manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences experience

  • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management Systems

  • Experience with U.S. Government contracting requirements

The Role What is a day in the life of a Butterfly Effects' RBT like? * What: You will work with 18 months to 18 years old clients on the autism spectrum to help them acquire new skills, improve communication and socialization, and reduce problem behaviors as directed by an individualized treatment plan. You will interact with the child and family, record behavior data from your client interaction, and collaborate with your BCBA. * When: 10-15 hours per week. Typically, therapy is delivered in 2-3 hour sessions 3-5 times per week and schedules are consistent from week to week. After school hours from 3-7 pm are emphasized, though our needs vary depending on the needs of our clients. * Where: Therapy is delivered in your client's natural environment, typically at home, and in the presence of a parent or guardian.
