The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Contracts Specialist is responsible for coordinating the contract process for professional and general services provided by external contractors. Contracts Specialist support the Manager of Contracts in responding to contract requests, drafting contract provisions, negotiating and executing contracts, and management of contract records.

This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Business or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two (2) years of contract administration experience.

Additional Qualifications for Contracts Specialist II:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Five (5) years of contract administration experience; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Contracts Specialist I at SCF.

The Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development Division of Community and Regional Affairs and Serve Alaska are seeking talented and creative candidates who possess strong desktop publishing, communication and organizational skills interested in our Publications Specialist II position in Anchorage, Alaska. Duties of this position include but are not limited to: The Publications Specialist II position will use advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs to design and publish the Community and Regional Affairs annual reports, technical reports, and maps, as well as create promotional materials for training classes, conferences and division programs. Candidates must have a strong publication background, excellent organization skills, good work ethics and a positive attitude. Successful candidates must exhibit desktop publishing skills, editing, proofreading, and formatting electronic and hardcopy editions that meet State specifications. This position often requires tight turnaround of documentation and absolute adherence to deadlines. Candidates must be at least intermediate to expert level in Microsoft Publisher, Word and Excel. They should also have practical experience working with Adobe Creative Suite software. Mapping and web authoring experience are a plus. A Bachelor's degree in graphic design, English, journalism, communications, public relations or a related field is preferred. Our successful candidate will possess some or all of the following knowledge, skills and abilities.
