Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health provides mental and behavioral health services as well as child welfare case management services for children, adolescents and adults, whose needs are extra ordinary. As a Contracts Specialist, you will:

  • Manage all state of FL Revenue Producing Contracts to include managing process from sending out for review, securing approvals and signatures for processing. Track execution of contracts and updating contracts database with summary of contract deliverables.

  • Complete all applications and related documents for licensing of all ACHA, APD and DCF licensed home. Conduct conference call with all related programs (Finance, Clients Funds, Training, QM, HR and Program) to prepare for the relicensing visit.

  • Complete all documentation required for annual monitoring by CBCs and conduct conference call with all related programs (Finance, Client Funds, Training, QM, and HR, Programs) to prepare for the audit. Secure conference room and IT equipment to conduct the audit. Act as a liaison for all communication between funder and Devereux.

  • Coordinate conference calls with required departments and programs to complete CAPs as part of a corrective action plan.

  • Proficiency with financial and clinical electronic health record as well as Excel, Word and Outlooks.

  • Manage/Update/Review the contract database and contracts spreadsheet.

  • Train staff and programs on the contracts database.

  • Assist Revenue Specialist with billing/authorization issues.

  • Develop and manage SCA/MOUs with funders for residential and 1:1 services. Ensure rate and approvals are in place to secure funding.

  • Create new payors with the required PGPs and PCRs in Profiler. Also, update any existing payors with the new PCRs when rates change or a new rate is established.

  • Enter all new Foster Parents into Profiler. Update when necessary.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare administration or related preferred

Experience:

  • 1+ years of healthcare revenue contracting, finance, provider relations, or related required

Other:

  • Must be over 21 and have a valid driver's license

  • Must be able to attend a 3 day new hire orientation class, Monday

  • Wednesday, 9am

  • 5pm

Specialist has two main focus areas: (1) Providing Research Development support services and resources to faculty in SDES and other UCF areas; (2) Conducting a range of activities required to prepare and submit grant proposals with SDES faculty and to support the management of SDES awards. Provides proposal development guidance to faculty from all UCF areas preparing grant proposals. Coordinates with RD team to provide proposal preparation and review support, incl. REACT large proposal support. Coordinates content updates to the RD-developed Funder Tool Kits for UCF faculty seeking funding opportunities, guidance, resources, or proposal collaborators. Supports use of the Pivot funding opportunity database (e.g., profile setup, trainings, funding searches, etc.) for faculty in SDES and other UCF areas. Provides informal reviews of draft proposals to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Education and the DHHS Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), as requested. Provides assistance with coordination of Office of Research internal programs that are managed by RD. Works closely with faculty and staff in developing and transforming ideas into grant proposals. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of particular areas at UCF involved in identifying and soliciting grants. Evaluates SDES funding prospects for federal, state, corporate and foundation grants division-wide or for a specific unit within the division. Emails the potential funding opportunity to the Program Director and their leadership team. Manages pre-award administration of SDES grants and contracts, including reviewing solicitation and proactively resolving any issues/questions. Advises and assists SDES staff, departmental administrators and research coordinators in the interpretation of sponsor guidelines, forms, regulations and policies related to proposal and budgetary requirements. Interacts with campus constituencies involved in grant-funding activities; may collaborate with various internal or external departments/colleges on collaborative proposals. Coordinates with staff collaborators (e.g., subcontractors, consultants, evaluators, vendors, etc.) to ensure their commitment and that all proposed financial documents (e.g., subcontract budget, vendor quotes, etc.) are accurate and complete. Reviews and ensures accuracy of project cost share requirements, including the source, amount and authorized signatures of committed cost share wherever necessary. Ensures that research proposals, related documents and Proposal Transmittal Form special considerations (e.g., budget, release time, space needs, etc.) are reviewed and approved by appropriate SDES officials. Submits completed proposal to OR on behalf of SDES for final submission, ensuring that proposals are current, accurate, complete, and in full compliance with sponsor and University policies, procedures, and other requirements. eCertification (eCERT) Coordinator ensuring that all SDES sponsored and non-sponsored staff are reporting their effort to OR. Maintains a comprehensive grant inventory of grant awards and new submissions that is emailed monthly to the SDES leadership team. Provides training and coaching to SDES staff. Represents SDES and OR/RD in committees as requested. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
