Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Business Operations Analyst within the DISH Business Department will be a Legal Specialist focused on finalizing contract items, acting as a single point of contact between customers and the internal legal team and developing automation for the contract process. This role will require contract knowledge, the ability to communicate internally and externally as well as strong written communication skills. The Legal Specialist role will have both high visibility and growth potential. To be successful in this exciting role, a candidate must have strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, think logically, pay close attention to details and analyze different parts of a problem at the same time to solve a variety of business issues.
Primary responsibilities include:
Consistently provide a high level of customer service and professionalism to a variety of partners and customers in complex and demanding situations
Take ownership of departmental legal and contract needs, driving to the best possible business solutions
Manage a newly created deal desk focused on negotiating and closing contracts more efficiently
Generate contracts, analyze and recommend language for redlines, deliver executable versions
Respond to internal business needs, communicate with external customers and arrive at mutually beneficial solutions
Manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and driving projects to completion
Demonstrate the ability to utilize resources effectively, engage multiple departments and teams and create solutions to business needs
Resolve disputes and effectively work within a team atmosphere to handle urgent requests and potential escalations
Research, identify, and leverage best practices to identify Dish Business sales and operational improvements
Skills - Experience and Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Two years of work experience preferably in contract management or general legal work
Paralegal certificate or other legal experience preferred but not required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact cross-functionally with various levels of employees and management
Must be able to learn and apply knowledge of commonly used applications as appropriate within the department
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
