Collins Aerospace's Mechanical Systems (MS) Strategic Business Unit is a diverse business providing products supporting military and commercial airframers and operators. The Contracts group supporting the Propeller Systems (Props) portion of the MS business is currently seeking a Contracts Specialist located in its Windsor Locks, CT, site.

The Props Contracts Specialist will be responsible for managing the Windsor Locks, CT Props Military Spares business, related repair and overhaul agreement formation and management as well coordination with the OEM side of the business to ensure effective support of end user customers. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, an effective communicator, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well supporting internal and external customers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. They will work for and with the Props Contracts Demand Management Lead to maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support all aspects of order entry for all U.S. Government and Commercial/International OEM and Aftermarket purchase orders and contracts

  • Manage all aspects of invoicing for all U.S. Government and Commercial/International OEM and Aftermarket/Military Spares purchase orders and contracts.

  • Support U.S. Government and Commercial/International proposal activity including entry of those requests into SAP as needed.

  • Coach junior professionals and review their work to ensure output is of quality and in accordance with business objectives.

  • Manages small projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR

  • Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must have previous contracts or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have robust SAP experience relating to order entry and report generation

  • Must have a robust working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Experience with Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) contracts

  • Experience with Aftermarket and/or military contracts

  • Ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated customer focus/business partnership
