Contracts Principal - El Segundo, CA - Active Ts/Sci - Supporting Ussf!

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Contracts Principal to oversee bids and contracts with NASA and/or the US Space Force on a long-term contract. The Contracts Principal will be required to be on-site in El Segundo, CA and requires an Active TS/SCI Clearance. The role will prepare, negotiate, accept, and manage government contracts to ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. This requires familiarity with the government contracts field.

Responsibilities for the Contracts Principal includes:

• Examining contractual agreements to make sure they follow government regulations, company policies, and master agreements

• Facilitates complex endeavors, such as delivery efforts with defined Firm Fixed Price (FFP), in addition to commercial work

• Preparing proposals; negotiating and managing contracts, such as Time and Materials (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursable (CR), and numerous Task Order contracts; preparation, negotiation, and management

• Engages in discussions with high-level internal and external staff with important issues that frequently call for cooperation across departments

Qualifications of the Contracts Principal includes:

• Must posses an Active TS/SCI Clearance prior to start

• Thorough understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards in contract administration

• Go-getter attitude and a passion to learn!

• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contracts, including FAR, TINA and CAS

• Experience in contract risk management and negotiation

• Cost proposal experience is required

Compensation for the Contracts Principal include:

• Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 based on experience
