day in the life:

The Contracts Manager will report into the Sr. Manager, Legal Operations, and work alongside a fun and highly motivated Legal Operations team. lululemon is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the administration of contracts, help improve processes, be the point of contact for questions related to our CLM and can effectively navigate between business teams and legal. To succeed in the role, you'll need great attention to detail, be customer-service oriented with a strong ability to connect and communicate with others. Ability to meet tight deadlines, have great organizational skills, high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.

As a Contracts Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective contract management, from initiation, drafting, to execution and renewal. You will help lead the development of Conga CLM, including UI improvements, process automation, template management, and enrolling new teams and users as we continue to expand. Developing strong working relationships within the legal team and with business partners is critical to continuously identify opportunities for improved collaboration and enhance the contracting process. You will also assist with low value/low risk agreements, providing support to business partners in adhering to company policies and risk thresholds. Actively supporting internal projects aimed at sustaining clean data within the CLM, covering both existing and new agreements, as well as associated metadata. The ideal candidate is innovative, business-minded, highly motivated, and most of all, fun!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administration of CLM solution through data governance, optimizing configuration and workflows, and monitoring the flow of and storage of Legal contracts.

  • Build strong relationships with business partners to enhance collaboration in the contracting process.

  • Identify and explain commercial agreement terms and associated risks to the relevant business stakeholders and interpret contract requirements, obligations and risk assessment or exposure.

  • Collaborate closely with internal business teams, vendors, and partners to execute agreements.

  • Oversee the development of our CLM system collaborating with external vendors and internal teams to enhance data accuracy within the CLM.

  • Drive improvements in the CLM user interface (UI), process automation, and template management in collaboration with our tech resources.

  • Assist with the creating, drafting and reviewing low-value/low-risk agreements.

  • Support legal users throughout the agreement lifecycle, ensuring adherence to documented CLM workflows.

  • Create meaningful reports and notification systems for leaders and business partners stemming from agreement data stored in CLM.

  • Serve as the Conga CLM Subject Matter Expert (SME): Create and update training resource, respond to user questions, maintain and update processes, ensure user adherence to CLM procedures.

  • Facilitate and maintain lululemon's agreement template and clause library within the CLM, focusing on template automation and updates.

  • Lead department-wide efforts to organize, manage, and archive contracts, agreement templates, and related metadata.

  • Oversee incoming requests and ticket triage from the business to the legal team through ServiceNow.

  • Participate in special projects within the Legal Department to develop, implement and enhance processes and policies that improve efficiency and standardization without material increase in risk

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, required; JD or paralegal certificate is a plus!

  • 3+ years of contract management, paralegal, or other relevant experience with a law firm or corporate legal department

  • Experience managing small to mid-sized projects

  • Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information

  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities; comfortable navigating ambiguity both individually and as part of a high-performing team

  • Able to coordinate effectively across disciplines and time zones, gain trust and confidence with colleagues at many different levels

  • Well-organized and hard-working, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure • Entrepreneurial mind set with the ability to think five steps ahead, influence internal stakeholders, and not be afraid to roll up sleeves and do what needs to get done

Compensation and Benefits Package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $81,100-106,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
