Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Legal Operations, the Contracts Manager will oversee the contracts team and process to ensure successful and compliant internal and external contracts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Creates, drafts, and revises a variety of contracts and standard contracts for internal and external partners including state level customers.

2.Oversees contract execution to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

3.Ensures the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained.

4.Meets with and maintains excellent working relationships with clients to discuss both legal and business matters and make sure their needs are met.

5.Monitors the implementation and performance of signed contracts.

6.Researches requirements, duties, and obligations of the company under contracts to ensure alignment with company goals and industry regulations.

7.Provides advice and guidance to the different teams relating to contract generation.

8.Oversees the contract management tech stack, including implementation of contract workflows into new CRM platform

9.Proactively identifies strategic opportunities to enhance contract systems and technologies, add efficiencies into processes or cross-functional workflows and implements these improvements.



  1. Allocates resources, manages team expectations and individual performance of direct reports, and drives departmental efficiencies.

  2. Provides coaching, mentoring, technical and professional support to team members in an effort to support morale, team dynamics, team, and individual professional growth.

  3. In conjunction with the Director of Legal Operations, prepares and presents performance reviews and development plans to track success and areas of opportunity for team members.

  4. Additional duties and projects as assigned.


Requirements

1.5 years' experience plus bachelor's degree in relevant studies or paralegal certificate

2.Demonstrates hands on experience with contracts and a solid understanding of legal terminology

3.Experience with implementing and administering contract management platforms or CRM technologies, such as Salesforce.com, DealHub or similar systems, preferably at a SaaS organization

4.Comfortable working as part of a multidimensional team

5.Possesses superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines

6.Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills

7.Capable of professionally managing confidential information

8.Strong critical thinking, analysis and creative problem-solving abilities

9.Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office



  1. Previous experience working with contract regulations and related laws is strongly preferred

  2. Knowledge of contract automation preferred
