Description:Perform contract administration work as part of the Contracts organization. This intern position will consist of assignments ranging from proposal preparation, contract formation, evaluation and writing, and/or contract closeout, to general contract administration and special projects. Also, the Intern student would be expected to participate in as many Aero sponsored events as possible to learn about opportunities, the work climate and the company as a whole.

Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Pursuing bachelor's degree in business from an accredited college.

Desired Skills:

  • Candidate should possess good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with ability to grasp other software applications required to perform job duties

  • Candidate should be detail and teamwork oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Share Point experience

Assignments will range from developing, planning and scheduling proposals, to compiling cost, schedule and technical elements from the functional departments. Continue through the process with proposal preparation, contract formation, and internal approval to release the proposal(s). Support fact-finding and negotiation process with the contracting officer and customer auditor. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. Negotiate and administer the resultant contract(s) in accordance with LM policies and procedures. General contract administration duties include maintaining contractual awards and modifications in accordance with the FAR, DFARS, acquisition policies, and unique customer clauses. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. Candidate should be able to handle multiple assignments and achieve program goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a current top secret clearance is required. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must have the ability to obtain a secret level clearance after hire. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience / combined education Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation(s), (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplements, (DFARS) Federal contracting experience with DoD Desired Skills: Experience with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) and skilled at management of negotiated RFPs.
