Contracts And Compliance Manager

Our client, a global manufacturing organization in the Towson, Maryland area, is seeking a Contracts and Compliance Manager to join their team. The Contracts and Compliance Manager will oversee three direct reports and administer contracts from cradle to grave. Knowledge of and experience with government contracts is essential for this position.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Remain abreast of current FAR, DFAR, Export Control and various other government regulations and practices and communicates any changes as appropriate.

• Prepares contracts and researches the legality of various agreements.

• Acts as a focal point for official communications with customers.

• Administers contracts cradle-to-grave at a senior level.

• Responsible for all aspects of contract negotiating.

• Resolves performance and other contract administration issues with the customers.

• Responsible for export licensing.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Contract and/or Procurement in a DOD environment

• Must have experience with FAR, DFAR, Export Control

• Manufacturing experience preferred

• Experience managing a team in related activities

• Bachelor's Degree required

• JD or CPCM preferred

• Strong communication skills and experience with contract negotiations

• Time management skills and ability to work with deadlines

• Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills

• Ability to manage ambiguity with strong business acumen
