Contract Administrator


Under general supervision, this position is responsible for ensuring all client and partner contracts are executed in a matter that is consistent with WageWorks' business practices, processes, and SOX guidelines. Acts as the primary legal team resource responsible for contract accuracy, data quality, generation and execution.


  • Assists internal teams in the coordination and generation of new sales contracts, contract renewals, amendments and other contract documentation.

  • Follows contracting process guidelines and ensures proper approvals and documentation are in place prior to contract execution.

  • Reviews contracts and ensures that the Apttus system accurately reflects the executed contract terms and financial information.

  • Ensures contracts are executed based on WageWorks' business practices and guidelines.

  • Reinforces and educates teams on contracting process and guidelines as well as Apttus contract management system usage.

  • Recommends and documents contract management process improvements based on interactions with users and process audits.

  • Assists with contract audit support requests and report generation via Apttus.


  • Must be able to prioritize workload using good judgment and be able to understand complex issues and business concepts quickly.

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and have exceptional organization skills.

  • Able to build and maintain constructive and effective relationships with Finance, Sales and Relationship Management teams.

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to internal customers and gain the trust and respect of internal customers.

  • Ability to think critically and assist other functions with interpreting contract language as applicable.


A thorough knowledge and understanding of business or contract administration as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related major.

ADDITIONAL INFO The position will take a senior role within the IT group including, but not limited to, Contract Management and Financial Reporting. The Sr. Contracts & Financial Analyst role within the IT Business Services Group will lead the efforts to standardize contract language and manage negotiations for IT based services. In addition, this position will provide IT management with financial reporting on team spending as well of analysis of spending patterns and anomalies. This role will be key in managing IT spend and cost control efforts. The position will require the utilization of internal contract management system (Ariba), AD, SharePoint and other various tools. Must be proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Role and Responsibilities Will be responsible for full life cycle of contract and vendor management. Will work collaboratively with departments to assist in achieving their goals. Additionally, will be responsible for creating high-level reports that will provide departments with budgetary and spending information that will help them track their status. Work with various IT departments on contractual needs Full life cycle contract management (to include negotiations, renewals, terminations, etc.) Ensure proper approvals are in place to finalize contractual agreements Review and track SLA's with business domains.
