The Contracts Administrator is responsible for supporting the Contracts Manager with proposal management and performance of activities relating to new contracts, negotiation of contract terms and conditions, creation, and negotiation of contracts and special agreements, contract flow down, negotiation of claims and settlements for labor and material costs, and customer account management. The incumbent will work closely with Contract Manager, Customer Service Associates, Program Management, and Business Development to assure overall compliance to the contract requirements. This may include audit, control, or liaison functions with both suppliers and customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Overall contract compliance to standard procedure.

  • Support proposal and contract review and development at RFP phase and prior to customer submittal

  • Establish solid customer relationships by utilizing excellent reading comprehension and communication skills

  • Review and formation of Contracts

  • Contract review and customer flow down

  • Supporting Contracts Manager with commercial item assertions

  • Resolve conflicts or disputes with customers relating to contractual compliance or interpretation

  • Assure that SIS contracting policies are aligned with applicable UTAS prescribed policies

  • Responsible for complying with direction and objectives in alignment with business unit goals and objectives

  • Contributes to the department or business unit by applying their advanced knowledge of one or more functional areas

  • Contracts check & balanced knowledge, can work independently on contract formation and can effectively drive contract administration activities.

Level of Responsibility:

  • Work closely with Contract Manager, Customer Service Associates, Program Management, and Business Development to assure overall compliance to the contract requirements.

  • Individual contributor

  • Complete tasks at the direction of a Contracts Manager

  • Responsible for complying with direction and objectives in alignment with business unit goals and objectives

  • Contributes to the department or business unit by applying their knowledge of one or more functional areas of administration activities

  • Other duties as assigned by supervision

Performs analysis and generates complex proposals and contract documents. Makes improvements to functional processes to ensure the organization's compliance and effectiveness. Primary Responsibilities: * Drafts, generates, interprets and manages complex proposals and contract documents, in accordance with internal and external requirements and schedules, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives. * Partners with contract managers in coordinating and analyzing input from other organizations during sales campaigns and negotiation processes. * Performs analysis and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters, including government procurement and cost control guidelines. * Advises and represents the organization on legal issues concerning contract matters. * Creates proposals, negotiates and executes contracts. * Provides legal advice on warranty and contract administration. * Prepares legal documentation for legal and contract negotiations and relationships. * Prepares legal applications for warranty and new contracts, as needed. * Maintains historical legal records.
