Contracts Administrator, Lead

Key Role:

Provide full life cycle strategic contracts administration leadership and support to DoD and intelligence community (IC) clients. Negotiate and administer contracts with the US government and subcontracts with large and small business prime contractors across the breadth of contract types. Negotiate teaming and non-disclosure agreements and provide OCI and relationship development and management with the clients' acquisition teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience with contract administration and negotiation in the DoD or IC

  • Experience with resolving OCI issues

  • Experience in establishing agreements with small business prime contractors and the SBA's small business subcontractor rule

  • Ability to support a high-volume, diverse workload and demanding clients successfully

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of excellent written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent analytical skills

  • Possession of excellent client relationship, development, and management skills with internal and external clients

  • MA or MS degree

THE OPPORTUNITY We are actively seeking a highly personable and technically astute Senior Contracts Administrator. The ideal person for this role will have experience providing daily contract management support for the DoD or a defense organization. You will be responsible for various tasks related to technical support. THE ROLE Your daily role responsibilities will be as follows: * Responsibilities include the preparation, negotiation, and administration of US Government and commercial contracts in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. * Establish relationship with customer contract counterparts and work with them as necessary. * Oversees the amendment, extension, termination, and renegotiation of contracts. * Evaluates or monitors contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts and to ensure compliance to contractual obligations. * Monitors contractual requirements, such as but, not limited to, actuals against budget, modifications, seventy-five percent status, and thirty (30) days prior to ending date. Maintains Contract/Task Files in electronic filing system. Assist in audits when necessary. * Assist with Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, and Bid & Proposal Number assignment. Ensure that agreements are maintained according to department practices. * Works with MCR Program Managers on daily basis regarding the contractual and financial issues of assigned contract/tasks. * Attend Monthly Program Management Reviews and be prepared to discuss contract status and issues. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Passionate about this opportunity? Here are the basic qualifications we are looking for: * You possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a Business related field. Equivalent work experience in related field may substitute for degree. * Deep understanding (5 - 7 years) of experience within government contracting. * You are comfortable with multiple tasking and have the ability to work independently when performing duties or assigned projects. * You are proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word 2016 and Excel 2016). * Knowledge of PowerPoint 2016 and Access 2016 is very desirable. * Knowledge of FAR, DFARS and GSAR.
