Summary

The Contractor Specialty Representative is responsible for adding value to all USG Sheetrock Brand Joint Compounds, Ready-Mix, Setting Type Compounds, Plasters, Primers, Beads and Trim for existing and potential customers. This role is heavily involved in jobsite visits and physical product demonstrations. This position was specifically designed for USG to have face to face interaction and support for our end-users, Contractors, Distributors and GCs. In this job, you will be supporting the USG sales team in all customer related concerns regarding the USG Joint Treatment Line including technical issues, market pricing, market intelligence, and product quality. Ability to lift 60-80 lbs., drywall or related experience preferred (will be mixing, spraying and applying products as needed).

This position includes implementation of the marketing plan for current and future products, identifying new markets for existing products, and forecasting to ensure that the strategic direction of a product is in line with overall company goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • This role is responsible for the Mid Atlantic territory (Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware and Virginia)

  • Field product demonstration and promotion for all assigned products in both residential and commercial markets.

  • Use Salesforce.com software to manage customers, track information and report results to management

  • Participates in the identification and evaluation of new products.

  • Provides input on product development concepts and works closely with USG product management, USG Manufacturing and the local USG market sales force.

  • Interfaces with company Area Sales Managers, Building Systems Sales and USG Customer Service.

  • Provides technical support for drywall finishing contractor base.

  • Participates in the development of and implements the marketing plan for all assigned products.

  • Develops and maintains a forecasting mechanism as needed.

  • Provides feedback on promotional and advertising strategies.

  • Provides competitive analysis as requested.

  • Conducts training sessions for company personnel as well as stocking distributors.

  • Attends local, regional and national trade shows as those opportunities become available.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically with contractors. Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.

  • Proven problem solver and decision maker.

  • Must be able to multi-task and meet numerous deadlines.

  • Reports to the Mid-Atlantic Area Manager

Education/Experience

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably at the contracting level. Drywall finishing experience is a plus.

The Regional Robotics Manager will be responsible for managing his/her territory on a daily basis. This includes territory uncovery, forecasting, quota attainment, account handoff to RIC and CPM teams, and other duties as assigned. Primary Roles and Responsibilities: * Uncovering all Navio opportunities within assigned territory * Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly Navio forecasts to AVP * Meeting / exceeding assigned sales quota for assigned products and services in assigned Region * Meeting /exceeding opportunity tracking goals per AVP (Surgeon meetings, pipeline growth, C-suite meeting, sawbone and or cadaver demo's) * Network and work closely with all S&N counterparts in Region to maximize Navio opportunity uncover and # number of Navio programs sold and implemented * Ensure all Navio systems in Region are under Navio Total Care Service agreement * Ensure all Navio systems in Region are upgraded with all future software and hardware modules * Managing expenses within Region. Refer to S&N travel and expense policy for guidelines. Expense reports to be submitted to AVP every 2 weeks * Updating salesforce on a weekly basis * Understand the competitive landscape and leverage tools to continually increase win rates * Work with Smith and Nephew CAD/ASC Managers to ensure we are leveraging all resources to drive Health System, IDN, and ASC Navio robotics initiatives within Region * Work closely with Implementation Managers and RM's , and Customer Program Managers to coordinate robotics teams efforts during account launch process - ensure each program sold is launched appropriately * Manage personal Navio demo system to ensure maximum appropriate utilization within Region * Be able to successfully set up and deliver Navio sawbone demo without RIC support * Work with Recon and RIC teams to deliver efficient and successful account transfers throughout Region * Work with Recon and RIC teams to ensure proper training of surgeons and hospital/ASC staff on the correct use of Navio technology is occurring * Coordinate activities with RIC team in assigned territory to provide pre- sale clinical validation as needed. Lab requests, etc. * Represent Region on calls with sales, Customer Program Manager, and AVP * Adhere to S&N corporate compliance and regulatory policies Requirements/Experience Education: Minimum of Bachelor Degree: * Requires a minimum (2) two years sales experience in a technical sales position or sales experience in the medical device industry. Preferably industry experience. * Requires ability to meet travel demands and work within a fast paced, high growth, dynamic environment. * Requires ability to lift multiple instrument implant kits weighing approximately 20 lbs. each. * Requires valid driver's license applicable to current residence to facilitate travel requirements of the position. * Requires strong PC applications skills to include proficiency in various software applications such as spreadsheets, databases, and word processing, preferably Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. * Requires a dynamic, assertive individual with technical-oriented leadership ability and well-developed communication and presentation skills. * Requires "Hands on" Training and Technical Support style of sales management. * Requires good business sense and an understanding of how marketing (pricing, discounting, etc.) ties into the profitability of a company. * Experience selling Orthopaedic products preferred. * Experience in the healthcare industry preferred. * Proven ability to sell.
