Responsibilities:
Billing Review: Audit billing records, invoices, and financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Data Validation: Verify that billing data, such as rates, project hours, and customer information, are entered correctly and match the terms of contracts or agreements.
Error Detection: Identify billing errors, discrepancies, or anomalies in charges, and work with relevant teams to rectify the issues promptly.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of billing audits, findings, and corrective actions taken. Generate reports to communicate audit results to management.
Complete files so that eBill and invoice can be sent out
Skills/Knowledge:
Experience with auditing billings or contracts; preferably with a billing background
Experience working in a law firm or professional service is ideal but not a requirement
Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office
Preferred proficiency and accounting systems such as Elite and/or Aderant and applications such as eHub or Bill Blast
Someone who has the innate ability to analyze documents quite continuously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with staff and timekeepers
Must be team-oriented and have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Must be an accurate proofreader and have strong attention to detail
Has the ability to work independently and can take direction well
Education:
High school diploma required
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field preferred
