Overview

Bio-Rad is looking for a Senior Network Engineer.

Network delivery comprises of Cisco, Meraki and Aruba LAN/WAN/WLAN, F5 and Cisco load balancers, SD-WAN, Cloud service and Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto security at the corporate data centers and Branch offices. You should be able to work independently by using the Bio-Rad infrastructure standards/guidelines, work directly with PMO for delivery and architect team for remediation. You should look at complicated network systems to find flaws or room for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop network architecture for Bio-Rad global network infrastructure.

  • Responsible for the lifecycle of architecture from inception to working with engineering teams on implementation and supportability of design.

  • Develop/implement architecture for Zero Touch Networking and design cloud base network services.

  • Build reusable designs and systems that promote scale, reliability, security, and efficiency.

  • Available on short notice for L3 troubleshooting and part of the weekly on-call rotation team.

  • Act as mentor for other engineers to create the network.

  • Required to respond to after-hours issues and must be available to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7+ years of engineering and deployment experience with CCIE certification.

  • Experience architecting and designing networks.

  • Software development experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., C++, or Python).

  • Experience with networking protocols and technologies, including end-to-end packet flow, forwarding, and routing.

  • Expertise in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed multi-vendor systems.

  • Enterprise network operations experience and a systematic approach to troubleshooting.

  • Experience with wireless technologies, data center networking, routing protocols, network security.

  • Experience with selection, design, implementation, and support of enterprise network systems and diagnostic tools.

  • Strong collaboration, communication, presentation, written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation.

  • Experience of working in ITIL environments.

  • Subject matter expert in Meraki, Cisco and Aruba LAN/WLAN technologies.

  • Design and deployment experience in SD-WAN technologies.

  • Must have experience in network security features (ACL, DMVPN, VPN, IPSEC, LSVPN) with a focus on Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto.

  • Strong experience and operational familiarity with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VTP, 802.1 (q,s,w) and another network routing, switching and wireless protocols.

  • Able to handle multiple complex projects and incidents simultaneously.

  • Familiarity or have worked with networking tools such as Wireshark, Netflow, SolarWinds Orion (NPM and NCM).

Responsibilities * You will be responsible for planning and executing the Internal Audit Department's IT SOX testing, integrated operational audits and supporting the IT audit practice. * You will scope, plan and execute IT operational audits and SOX. * You will stay apprised, engaged and trained in emerging technologies and technology risks to feed into the development of IT Risk assessments and audit programs. * You will lead the audit execution for IT and SOX audits by coordinating with process owners to identify and test controls; validating process documentation; analyzing IT and business information to identify improvement opportunities. * Work with the company's external auditors and federal regulators to support their annual audit and examination efforts. * Drive project delivery by completing audit work papers, reviewing compensating controls and offering recommendations on risk mitigation. * Manage the follow-up activities for remediation of issues identified and communicated to management. * Build effective relationships with IT management, and other risk functions throughout the company. * 15% travel required. Qualifications * Bachelors and/or Master's Degree in accounting and management information systems, computer engineering, or equivalent business discipline. * At least one professional certification required, preferably multiple, such as CISA, CIA or equivalent. * 7+ years related experience, preferably related to risk-based IT, application and operational or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Combination of Big 4 and internal audit experience is highly desirable. * Experience performing risk-focused audit services and assessments. * SAP, and Hyperion systems experience is a strong plus. * Advanced verbal and written communication skills. * Strong analytical, project management, planning, organization, documentation, and problem solving abilities. * Familiarity with IT processes and controls; Sarbanes-Oxley; use of COSO/COBIT and IT Auditing techniques. * Moderate knowledge of US GAAP. * Understanding of regulatory and compliance issues. * Proactive, high energy and strong interpersonal skills with a team-focused attitude. * International experience is a plus.
