The Instructional Designer will report to the Learning & Development department. As an Instructional Designer, you play a crucial role in shaping our learning journey. This position involves creating engaging and educational content, collaborating with departmental experts and stakeholders, reviewing incoming course curricula created within AEG, and making essential final edits before adding the curricula to the LMS. The Instructional Designer uses authoring software and innovative tools to develop interactive learning modules. The role ensures effective course curricula are built and assigned to the correct staff members within the organization while contributing to a culture of continuous learning and development. This dynamic position requires a versatile professional with expertise in creating content and providing implementation guidance for a higher adoption of learning content.
This position will start as a contractor to hire role.
Develop engaging and interactive training content, including presentations, e-learning modules, videos, manuals, and other materials.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.
Utilize instructional design principles and software to create effective and engaging content aligned with learning objectives.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training and development through continuous research.
Enhance learning experiences with multimedia elements like graphics, animations, video and simulations.
Revise and update existing training materials to reflect changes.
Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure content meets organizational standards.
Assist in implementing and rolling out training programs.
Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
Make recommendations for continuous improvement based on evaluation results.
Education & Background:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning and Development, or a combination of related experience.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in instructional design and learning experience development.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate).
Advanced skills in multimedia software for content creation.
Instructional Design Expertise:
Strong understanding and application of instructional design principles.
Project Management:
Proven ability to manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously.
Collaboration Skills:
Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
Creative Thinking:
Innovative and creative approach to developing engaging training content.
Technology Awareness:
Stay current with technology trends and advancements in learning technologies.
