Pay Range: $29.36 - $47.79 per hour

Summary:

The Contract Specialist reviews contract and affiliation agreements and prepares routine response for specific to clinical placements, equipment, supplies, and services for opportunities as they relate to nursing preceptorships and clinical placements. Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least five years of relevant work experience required.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical ability with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or JD preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the full lifecycle of a wide variety of contracts, from drafting through negotiation to execution.
  • Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, RUMC corporate policies, and business unit procedures.
  • Ensures contract review, approval, and execution in accordance with organization and/or business unit guidelines.
  • Coordinates contract workflow and manages pre-execution and post-execution phases, including renewals, terminations, contract compliance/adherence, and vendor contract performance management.
  • Communicates contract policy and practice to internal business teams.
  • Identifies and implements contracting process improvements.
  • Prepares and administers routine correspondence, negotiation memoranda, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal.
  • Organizes, maintains and electronically tracks all contracts, related documents, and milestones in Exxat and Meditrack.
  • Performs contract closeout activities.
  • May conduct research to support contract audit and or facilitate business unit contracting trends.
  • Prepares and organizes contract records documenting contract performance and compliance.
  • Review agreements submitted through the contract process, identifying contract verbiage that requires escalation to the Program Assistant Dean, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, and/or Dean of the College.
  • Ensures contracts are compliant with company policies and requirements.
  • Provides routine reporting to senior management on contracting concerns.
  • Addresses information requests from the legal department and other departments, including complex inquiries about contract obligations and revisions.
  • Participate in calls with clinical partners to explain our contractual framework and negotiate beneficial terms in support of the business.
  • Develop and manage clinical placement incentive packages for external organizations.
  • Performs contract closeout activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
