The Provider Relations Contract Specialist is the internal and external liaison for the Provider Network Management Department. In this role you will be maintaining positive working relationships with payors, affiliated and participating providers, including: plan medical groups (PMG's), physicians, hospitals and/or ancillary providers.

The Provider Relations Contract Specialist is responsible for the daily administration and operation of the contractual provider relationships, overseeing accurate and current provider databases, developing and providing provider training, education, and communicating information to ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will research, analyze and resolve complex issues. They will also be responsible for contract configuration, capitated risk, and division of financial responsibility interpretation, contract rate and language negotiation and interpretation, claims payment and member or provider eligibility.

This is a Full Time, Salaried position located at our Scripps Financial Office in Rancho Bernardo/4S Ranch.


Required Education/Experience/Specialized

Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree I business/health care field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years managed care experience with working knowledge of full risk and shared risk arrangements, utilization management, claims, and enrollment/eligibility.

  • Financial/auditing background.

  • Exceptional customer service skills with prove ability for effective follow-up.

  • Claims payment, contract interpretation and knowledge of contracting terms required.

As Data Analyst, you will perform critical activities related to Scripps Health Plan Services online, paper and payor provider directories and compliance efforts to ensure adherence with existing and future federal and state regulations, NCQA requirements related to provider directories, and related industry standards. In this role you will also represent Provider Network data and directory constituents as a subject matter expert on cross-functional. Be responsible for managing all Provider Relations CRM Pools. Additionally, you will play an integral role in validating provider data rosters with all Health Plans/IPAs. Be charged with reviewing weekly claims reports for Triplet issues and submitting Service Now tickets to SER/Tapestry teams for corrections in EPIC. Additionally, you will manage provider updates in MSOW and other projects as assigned. Additionally, you will maintain department specific databases and ensures accuracy of data. Apply broad knowledge in providing data analytics services to clients. Gather operational data to examine past business performance. Identify data patterns & trends, and provide insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc. You will also recommend actions for future developments & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies. May be involved in exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis. This is a Full Time position located in 4S Ranch. Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: * Good critical thinking and analytical skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Understanding of database functionality with ability to translate customer requests into actionable reports. Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: * Previous experience Managing Provider Relations CRM Pools. * ServiceNow working experience. * Epic working experience highly preferred. * Ability to accurately input data. * Health Plan or Medical Group highly preferred.
