LOCATION: This position is an on-site role (not hybrid or work from home) based in Greensboro, NC.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to prepare, examine, negotiate, revise and manage contracts and other legal documents. JOB DUTIES:
Draft, review, and revise contracts, including but not limited to customer contracts, vendor contracts, NDAs, subcontractor and service agreements. Ensure contracts are in compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and industry standards. Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract terms.
Lead or assist with contract negotiations with vendors, and customers to achieve favorable terms for the company. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, sales, engineering, and operations teams, to align on contract terms and objectives. Resolve contract-related disputes and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain and organize a centralized database of all company contracts. Monitor contract performance and compliance, ensuring all parties meet their contractual obligations. Track contract expiration dates, renewals, and amendments, and provide timely notifications to relevant stakeholders.
Conduct risk assessments of contracts and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations that may impact contract terms and conditions. Audit current contracts and assess risk level Prepare regular reports on contract status, risks, and performance metrics for management review.
Ensure proper documentation of all contract-related activities and communications Lead the process of documenting and communicating contract processes to internal stakeholders. Responsible for contractor licensing research and renewals SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree Required; BA in Paralegal Studies or BS in Legal Assistant preferred. 5 to 7 years of contract experience.
Strong knowledge of contract law and legal terminology. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to identify and mitigate risks. Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite. M. G.
