Job Description Job Description Summary The Contract Specialist will be responsible for cradle to grave activities to include pre-award planning, award, and post award functions This position is for full time telework based out of Atlanta GA (CDC) Responsibilities . Specific job duties will include but not be limited to: Reviewing Procurement Request (PR) packages, including the acquisition planning documents and providing advice, amendments, and recommendations on acquisition strategies.

Advising senior management and/or Contracting Officers on matters pertaining to procurement actions. Drafting of pre-award documentation to include, but not limited to: Notices of Intent to Sole Source, Sources Sought, 8a SBA Offer Letters, Memorandum’s of Agreement.

Coordinating edits, reviews with senior management, and the delivery of acquisitions packages for approval to the Contracting Officer. Preparing pre-award documentation that support contractual actions or recommendations. Initial development of Standard Form Solicitation documents with appropriate FAR, HHSAR, and CDC Local Clauses and Provisions, Technical Evaluation Factors and Terms and Condition.

Drafting of Standard Form/ OF Award documents in the contract writing system. Developing contract modifications to include, but limited to, the Standard Form, and other associated documentation such as a Determinations and Findings and a Notice of Intent to Exercise Options) Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a focus in finance, acquisition or supply chain management or a minimum of 5 years of contracting experience and the following qualifications:

At least 2-3 years of experience with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention performing contracting activities. Experience with the Integrated Contracts Expert (ICE) contract writing system Broad knowledge of solicitation types (full and open competition, set-asides, direct awards, sole source) as well as contract types (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, Simplified Acquisitions, Performance Based/Non- Performance Based, IDIQ’s, GWAC/s) Strong understanding of the FAR and supplemental guidance Strong Customer Service / Interpersonal skills, as the ideal candidate will be interacting with multiple CDC customers and vendors on a daily basis The ability to get and maintain a public trust.
