Summary:
We are seeking a self-motivated, professional, and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to support our Contract Operations function within our Infrastructure Performance Group. The successful candidate will manage a large pipeline of contracts throughout their lifecycle, applying legal reasoning, research, and writing skills on a variety of complex tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technology solutions portfolio group on behalf of the Contracts department.
- Manage and track contracts from initiation to completion, including drafting, redlining, and negotiating contracts in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Meet with internal and external stakeholders, present findings, and partner with outside counsel and consultants to ensure compliance and assess risk.
- Drive integration work plans specific to the technology solutions portfolio group.
- Ensure all contracts comply with local, state, and federal laws.
- Oversee contractor and vendor pipelines.
- Prepare contract letters and other legal communications/notices.
- Develop new policies for the Contracts Department as needed.
- Improve filing and data control processes to meet compliance standards.
- Monitor and triage inbound email traffic for required actions, urgency, and potential escalation to senior leadership.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for certificates of insurance requirements.
- Support the administration of the contract database and filing system, ensuring accurate data entry and document storage.
- Assist sales operations with the interpretation of contractual requirements in RFPs and bid responses.
- Support ad-hoc requests as identified.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate.
- A minimum of three years of legal experience in a corporate environment.
- Experience with SaaS contracting.
- Knowledge of accounting/finance principles.
- Strong legal research, reading, and writing skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in time management and task prioritization.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with systems such as Salesforce and Conga.
- Ability to exercise professional judgment and adapt procedures and techniques as needed.
- Capability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
- Professionalism and integrity in managing highly confidential information.
