Summary

About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Responsibilities

  • Complete quarterly and annual cost monitoring reports.

  • Review contractor's proposals for allocation of overhead expenses, analyzes plans and budgets reflecting sales and resulting bases used for allocation of overhead including details of individual cost elements comprising the total financial structure.

  • Perform analysis of contractor's final overhead proposals, forward pricing rates, billing rates, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), accounting changes, and other formula and allocation factors.

  • Investigate cause of significant variances and advises contractor personnel as to corrective action to be taken.

  • Advise and assist ACO as to feasibility of revising forward pricing projections.

  • Prepare comprehensive reports.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying

experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Experience required: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience with advanced cost, price or financial analysis within the defense industry or a mid/large sized company, strong analytical skills utilizing Excel spreadsheets, formulas, or other analytical modeling and skill in business/technical report writing sufficient to independently develop professional level reports.
