Job Description:

Support the F-35 program with contract administration, negotiations, metrics, and future contract planning. Provides proposal preparation, contract negotiation, administration, and closeout for the programs and special projects as assigned.

Develops and applies advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develops and applies solutions to unusually complex problems which require the regular use a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. Solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions.

Reviews and evaluates customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts; provides risk assessments and offers alternative approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language; evaluates and coordinates proposals; investigates and reconciles significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc. Works in conjunction with associated functional organizations and customers to ensure conformance with contractual obligations, to remain cognizant of problem areas, and to implement the required corrective actions. Evaluates contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.

Maintains communications to ensure timely contract execution by the parties. Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 6 years of professional experience or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree

  • Experience with Department Of Defense contracts management and negotiations

  • Negotiation Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Continue through the process with proposal preparation, contract formation, and internal approval to release the proposal(s). Support fact-finding and negotiation process with the contracting officer and customer auditor. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. Negotiate and administer the resultant contract(s) in accordance with LM policies and procedures. General contract administration duties include maintaining contractual awards and modifications in accordance with the FAR, DFARS, acquisition policies, and unique customer clauses. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. Candidate should be able to handle multiple assignments and achieve program goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, marketing or business related discipline. Desired Skills: Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Negotiations experience; FAR/DFAR knowledge; insurance experience; knowledge of conflict of interest rules and regs. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written. Should be detail oriented with the ability to see the big picture. Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment.
