WSP is currently initiating a search for a Contract Manager for our Seattle, WA office. Be involved in projects with our Washington and Oregon PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges. This position will immediately serve the Interstate Bridge Replacement project to manage its efforts related to Contract Procurement.
Your Impact:
Participate as a member of the Consultant Owner's Representative contract team
Lead components of a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection project/program
Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members; develop and/or review project specific policies, methods, practices, and procedures
Review programs for conformance with Client standards
Responsible for developing and maintaining an excellent professional relationship with those organizations to facilitate both the successful completion of current ongoing projects and the successful pursuit of follow-on assignments
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of
Conduct and related policies and procedures
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Manage Client relationships and serve as Client's representative for the assigned project with responsibilities for all phases of the Project
Engage specifically in planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety, and coordination of subcontractors and Internal technical and support staff
Develop project scopes, negotiate hours, prepare reports, develop, and maintain schedules and budgets, and ensure project controls quality reviews are complete
Coordinate with project technology experts to develop a project management information system working relevant to the needs of the project
Coordinate with Risk Manager to develop a robust risk management process for the project.
Ensure all required tasks are performed on-time and within budget
Provide all necessary documents, Information, and monthly reports to Client, as needed
Identify scheduling and cost variances and recommendations for corrective action for negative variance
Apply new and creative project controls solutions to complex technical and project management problems
Resolve issues with contract fulfillment in a timely manner and ensure that all aspects of the program remain on schedule and within budget
Make work assignments and provide technical direction to the project team
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline desired, but not required with applicable experience.
10+ years experience including project controls and 7+ years of experience in transit and transportation projects
Excellent leadership skills and experience in preliminary and final design and procedure for transit projects.
Experience in preparing project reports and documentation.
Experience in establishing project control systems and procedures.
Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of project management, to coordinate, review and provide expert technical management for the assigned projects.
Knowledge of project controls, including critical path method scheduling and budgetary control systems.
Knowledge and understanding of engineering contracting requirements, program policies, and procedures by which the Authority is governed.
Knowledge and understanding of Federal, state, and local transportation administration regulations and policies.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Ability to independently organize and carry out assignments with minimum direction as well as to function effectively as a leader of highly professional personnel.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management, schedule or cost management training or certification through Project Management Institute (PMI) or American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE) or other relevant industry organizations.
Background knowledge of the civil engineering and construction industry desired.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management Criteria and methods.
Knowledge of project controls software such as COBRA, PRISM, Procore, InEight desired.
Hands on experience with ORACLE PRIMAVERA P6 and Power BI.

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.
Expected Salary: $133,400- $198,220
WSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
