Assist the Legal Department in supporting commercial contracts of the company including review, negotiation, and administration of contracts.
Review and negotiate assigned customer contracts consistent with business unit best practices and the CEVA Business Rules with primary responsibility for FM customer contracts and in a supporting function for CL customer contracts.
Review and negotiate assigned key procurement contracts consistent with business unit best practices and the CEVA Business Rules.
Support the contract or opportunity owner (such as BD or Operations as the case may be) to ensure business transactions are aligned with Product Owner goals, and developed in a well-reasoned manner with appropriate risk mitigation.
Manage ICAP Lite process for customer contracts based upon North America Delegation of Authority; liaise with Commercial Finance for all other ICAPs.
Liaise with other departments such as Product, Finance, Compliance, etc. to ensure contracts meet cross-functional requirements.
Support all aspects of the organization's contract administration function from contract creation through to execution and storage in PACT.
Assist in training the organization on contracting best practices, the CEVA Business Rules, Legal Portal, DocuSign, and PACT.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Undergraduate degree required.
Master's Degree or other advanced degree
Minimum three (3) years of experience focused on negotiation of contracts and contract management in a corporate environment.
Minimum three (3) years of experience focused on negotiation of contracts and contract management for a logistics or transportation company.
Specialist Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrate sound understanding of contract preparation, review, and negotiation.
Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, internet, web?based and job specific software applications.
Experienced in adhering to standard operating procedures and guidelines.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret contracts, and respond to common inquiries.
Explore alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain all parties' support and acceptance.
Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals; and develop individual relationships by listening, sharing ideas and appreciating other's efforts.
