Compensation

The compensation target range for this role is:

$123,500 - $130,000

Job Summary

Position Summary:

The Contract Manager will support the Engineering and Maintenance departments. In collaboration with the Legal department, this role will establish the departments' contract management policies and procedures and contract templates. The Contract Manager- Engineering and Maintenance will also leverage technology to create efficiencies in the procurement process and effectively administer and maintain agreements with suppliers. The Engineering and Maintenance Operations Contract Manager will work in close collaboration with a cross-function team including executives, engineering, and maintenance, as well as internal legal counsel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Prepare timely, accurate, and compliant contractual and proposal responses/representations/certifications.

  • Support the review and improvement of contracting documents and procedures in conjunction with the executive team and internal and external counsel.

  • Works closely with Contracts/Pricing/Technical/Accounting Staffs and other functional departments to ensure accuracy and coordination of all contractual instruments.

  • Excellent writing ability/skills required. This position requires responding to multiples of contractual matters that require clarity and proper interpretation of the subject.

  • Must have in-depth knowledge and understanding of contractual and proposal processes and methodologies and be able to provide insights and guidance to the team and senior management in the execution of task order purchase orders and cost proposals.

  • Other duties include a review of equipment leases, Insurances, and Non-Disclosure Agreements.

  • Collaborative work with Senior Management, Engineering Leads and other team members.

  • Meeting deadlines/suspense's of Contract Modifications reviews and processes.

  • Monitor contract compliance. Track deadlines for deliverables and coordinate reviews and decisions by internal stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Obtain/Process new vendors for set contracts.

  • Initiate bid process by identifying requirements and coordinating input from other stakeholders; develops responses to RFPs by reviewing bid process as well as material and test requirements.

  • Negotiate contract change proposals, making recommendations for contract changes for programs or projects.

  • Provide contractual leadership to projects and programs.

  • Provide excellent customer service, investigating and responding to complaints and/or claims, collaborating cross functionally to provide answers and acting as key point person on contracts.

  • Direct management of technical and junior technical buyers

Required Skills, Education, Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience preferred.

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of legal terminology.

  • Background in construction and manufacturing preferred.

  • Requires a high level of reading, comprehension and dissemination of information.

  • Possesses superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.

  • Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions.

  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment in dealing with confidential information.

  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
