Job Description Job Description Our Company: Terry Staffing is a growing human resources consulting firms looking for an experience compensation professional to work a contract assignment with a municipality in the Atlanta area.

This assignment could last up to one year. Position Responsibilities: We are seeking highly motivated Compensation Analyst to help our company meet our client's develop compensation plans that allow them to be competitive in their quest for talent.

Our ideal candidate has both considerable experience and success doing market based compensation studies and developing salary structures that include pay ranges and job grades. After an initial meeting with the client, this role will be almost 100% virtual. Conduct an employee compensation and classification study of comparable Georgia counties and municipalities who are providing equitable services Determine if individualized positions/job descriptions are needed; and if so, assist in the development of these descriptions Prepare a comparative analysis that identifies Newton County’s Competitive positions in the labor market Provide recommendation for individual position salaries based on the proposed classification and compensation schedules Prepare recommendations for compensation rules and policies to maintain competitiveness, employee reward, and to ensure equity Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, finance, business, or a relevant field The Consultant shall have a minimum of ten (10) years documented experience preforming job evaluations, classification and market based compensation study work The Consultant shall be knowledgeable and have experience in the interpretation of Federal and Georgia laws as they relate to pay practices, compensation and non-exempt/exempt designation The Consultant shall have an understanding of the principles and practices of compensation, including the development of compensation structures, policies and procedures, which include, base pay, performance base pay, wage progression, compression and equity solutions The Consultant shall be knowledgeable of the Americans with Disability Act of 1990, as amended, as it applies to the work of this project, along with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), as amended, as it applies to exempt/nonexempt classification The Consultant shall have experience conducting classification and compensation studies and analysis for public sector organizations, benchmark compensation studies and analysis for public sector The Contractor shall be properly licensed and authorized to preform work in the State of Georgia Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. High attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and manage time effectively in order to meet deadlines. Self-starter and able to work in a team atmosphere. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
