FINGERPRINTING REQUIRED: Yes

  • Supervisory position.

  • Responsibilities include operation, mechanics and maintenance of pools, facility and equipment.

  • Measures chemical & temperature readings, balances chemicals as needed, fills chemical feeders with proper amounts according to usage, assists with backwashing of filters, weighs in chlorine on deck chlorinator and heavy lifting.

  • Completes routine and preventative maintenance and minor repairs on pumps and motors.

  • Makes minor repairs to pipe for motors and pools.

  • Requires standing for long periods of time and working in the elements.

  • Mustdeal with the public in a professional manner.

  • Must attend in-service training as assigned.

  • May be required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of assigned tasks.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Supervisor(s).

Individuals assigned to this classification must report to work per their assigned schedule. Parks and Recreation staff must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • A minimum one (1) year experience in pool maintenance, pool water testing, and equipment maintenancerequired.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to be able to communicate effectively with others.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) required within sixty (60) days of hire.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age for chemical handling.

  • Must have a valid Florida Driver's License or a valid State Driver's License with the ability to obtain a Florida Driver's License within thirty (30) days of hire.

FINGERPRINTING REQUIRED: Yes * Primary responsibilities are cooking, providing food service to guests and maintaining cleanliness of facility and equipment, following proper procedures. * Assists with or prepares food and equipment daily. * Assists with or stocks inventories and supplies. * Supervises, trains, schedules (including start, break, and end times), delegates and reviews work of assigned staff; assists with or initiates personnel actions, i.e., hiring, discipline; maintains related records. * Requires standing for long periods of time and working in the elements. * Attends in-service training as assigned. * May be required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of assigned tasks. * Performs other duties in the park or cafe when required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * High School diploma or GED required. * One (1) year of experience in food handling required. * Cooking experience required. * Florida ServSafe certification required within ninety (90) days of hire (provided by City). * Must possess a valid state driver's license upon hire and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion. * Must be able to deal with the public in a professional manner. ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Minimum Standards Required Tasks are performed inside and outside, subject to weather conditions and uneven terrain. The position involves light physical demands, such as exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Tasks may require prolonged periods of visual concentration and require moderate levels of eye/hand/foot coordination. Requires the ability to speak, hear (perceive sound) and/or signal people to convey and exchange information; differentiate between colors or shades of color; read a variety of materials, at times complex; apply principles of rational problem-solving; record and deliver information, explain procedures, issue and follow oral and written instructions; and communicate effectively and efficiently in Standard English as primary language while performing job duties.
