RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and implement the contract and claim management in investment projects in a cross-functional team with engineering and legal colleagues
Develop the contracting strategy (sourcing strategy, delivery and compensation models) together with the project management team to prevent and/or limit potential claims
Give input to the budgeting process, the project timeline and work breakdown structure development together with the Project Procurement Manager
Govern preparation and update of tender documentation regarding compliance between project demands and market circumstances, technical and commercial documents, specified requirements and latest status of discussion
Manage contracting and award negotiations together with project procurement, category management and other stakeholders
Commercially manage key service and / or supply contracts concerning obligations, amendments, omissions, additions, defaults, etc.
Prepare and conduct claim negotiations together with other stakeholders
Prepare progress and claim reports and an audit-proof procurement documentation
Manage the implementation of contract and claim management throughout the procurement organization
Organize and implement internal trainings
REQUIREMENTS
University / Post Graduate (Masters Degree) in engineering, business administration or equivalent qualification
5 to 10 years of experience in construction contract administration or managing commercial relationship in large investment projects being executed on an EPC/EPCM contractor basis
Established project management skills and knowledge of relevant IT tools
Professional applicable experience including contract administration and/or subcontract administration, claims management and drafting / reviewing contract related documents and correspondence
Change order and claims negotiation management experience Procurement phase experience reviewing RFPs, certs and reps compliance, contract terms and risk assessment support
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with different stakeholders within and outside the organization
Proven teamwork skills and great enthusiasm
Flexibility and willingness to travel (20-30%)
Ability to develop commercial relationships across a range of cultures to ensure the project cost, timeline and quality
